Donating
There are many ways to donate. Any amount will help to provide homes for as many children as possible. However, donations need not be monetary; volunteers are always welcome, as are donations of goods and services in kind. Please donate to Project Indigo in any of the following ways:
Financial Contribution:
Any and all contributions are greatly needed and deeply appreciated.
Goods In Kind:
Camp Indigo is in need of computers, home schooling books and supplies, as well as consumable items detailed on our Wish List.
Tribute Program:
Ever need that "special gift" to send for a graduation, birthday, anniversary or sympathy acknowledgement? Project Indigo Tribute Program accepts donations in honor of, or in memory of an individual, and sends a Tribute Card acknowledging the gift to that special person, in your name.
Become a Corporate Partner:
Encourage your company or business to become a financial supporter of Project Indigo.
Host a Special Event:
Choose Project Indigoto be the beneficiary of your organization's next special event.
Sponsor a Donation Drive:
Host a donation drive benefiting Project Indigo through your company, youth group, club or civic group.
Life income gifts:
Life income gifts are designed for individuals who own significant assets and are interested in making a major gift to an organization. Such gifts can actually increase the dividend income to the donor. This type of gift enables the donor to receive a higher interest rate than what they may have on their investments while taking a significant tax deduction in the year they donate.
Gifts of real property:
Real estate, homes, etc. appreciate in value and when sold…which means they incur a capital gains tax as well. By making a gift of the home or property, the donor avoids the capital gains tax and can receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the property.
Bequests in your will:
Where there's a will…there's a way to save on your estate taxes. Federal estate taxes can take up to 50% of your estate. However, with advance planning, the donor can arrange to make a charitable contribution that can affect that. Leaving Project Indigo a gift in your will can help us….while perhaps helping your overall tax situation. Please check with your own tax preparer and lawyer. We want and need your support…but we want you to make your donations in such a manner that benefits you…as well as us.
